30 Years Later
December 4th 2015 - January 6th 2016
The exhibition "30 years later" opened on December 4, 2015. It is natural to associate it with a moment of taking stock. The Art Academy graduating class of 1985 in the class of Ivan Kirkov arranged their paintings - a story about the distance traveled, the successes and/or compromises along the way.
Philip Zidarov opened the exhibition with a short but very emotional speech. It started with reverence for the great artist and person Ivan Kirkov - whose image is so well captured by director Atanas Kiriakov, who was among the guests in attendance; quite naturally, it touched on the theme of taking stock, of responsibility, of salvation in memory; and it ended with a reflection from Kirkov on freedom and the artist.
