Velcha Velchev was born in 1959 in Dimitrovgrad, Serbia (former Yugoslavia).
He started his academic education in the National Art Academy, Sofia – painting (Class of Prof. Dobri Dobrev) and completed it in the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade (Class of Vojislav Todorich). In 1991, Velcha Velchev moved to Mallorca, Spain where he still lives.
Since 1995, the artist has showcased his works across Spain - Santiago de Compostela, Santander, Barcelona, Girona, Sevilla – and abroad – Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Greece, Serbia, and more.
