Manya Vaptsarova

Manya Vaptsarova was born in 1961 in Sofia.In 1986, she received a master's degree in Graphics from the National Academy of Art.

Since 2015, she has been a professor of painting and graphics in the Department of Scenography of the National Academy of Art.She has a doctorate in art history and fine arts.

From 1986 to today, Manya Vaptsarova has participated in group exhibitions in Spain, Poland, Hungary, Italy, Germany, Mexico, Russia, Finland, Holland, Slovakia, Belgium, Turkey, Great Britain, Austria, Japan, USA, Serbia, as well as in international biennalesin Krakow (Poland), Varna and Sofia (Bulgaria), Yokohama, Kanagawa (Japan) and Guanlan (China).

She has had numerous solo exhibitions, including in Art Alley Gallery, Shipka 6 and Alma Mater Gallery (Sofia), KUNST pavillon (Eisenach, Germany), Erfurt, Germany and Krems, Austria.

Manya Vaptsarova is the winner of awards from the Biennale of Graphics - Varna, the Biennale of Graphics - Luben, Poland, the "Enter into Art" jury award, Cologne, Germany, and her works are in galleries and private collections in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Serbia, Hungary, France, Czech Republic, Sweden, Japan, and USA.
